Welcome to The Be Well Course & Your SSP Therapy Success Guide
Section 1: We’ll start with all the skills you need to regulate your nervous system during the Safe and Sound Protocol. It can feel impossible to make lasting change when you haven’t trained your involuntary responses to align with your dreams but the skills you’ll learn and develop in the next months are designed to help you change that. SSP Music Therapy trains the involuntary parts of your nervous system into safe-relax mode & this can feel strange for people who aren't used to it but when combined with the other practices you’ll learn here, SSP becomes an easier, more enjoyable listening experience. The skills in the following sections help tone your autonomic nervous system plus they’ve been shown to change the white & gray matter in your brain, & the way your Large-Scale Brain Networks are functioning including the Default Mode Network. When you’ve done your daily practices & the Safe and Sound Protocol Music consistently over time, the structures & automatic responses inside your body & mind will have shifted into something more supportive to your life & the way you want to feel & function.
A Note About this Course!
I built this course as a series of starting points for you to find & explore your own practices for well-being. If you just do the practices as listed you will receive a lot of benefit but the real power to transform your life comes from accessing the intuitive force within you. Many people go to therapeutic offices looking for help but they still come out struggling in some way. This happens because our capacity to change what we are experiencing in our lives & how we show up comes from within. This course is meant to light up pathways for you to explore & activate your body's natural ability to adapt & change. With continued practice we truly believe in everyone’s ability to retrain their responses to life & line yourself up consistently with what matters most to you.
Aside from the research that documents tangible physiological changes, we are living proof that the practices in this course, along with the Safe and Sound Protocol, work & they will work more quickly if you let them evolve & become your own. To help your system sense the possibilities, we give variations underneath the videos for all the practices. This is about learning to tune in & trust what feels right for you. Try things on, evolve what works moment to moment, & leave the rest. May the new responses you create for yourself by choosing to focus your attention inward highlight & transform what you hold between yourself, your world, & your dreams. This course is my way of wishing all of us a beautifully self-aware, fun, connected, joyful life lived with ease.
